Our mission is to live the Gospel and be God’s love with our neighbors in all places. To this end we have participated in the following:
Early Response Team members travel to areas of disaster such as hurricanes, tornadoes and floods to assist in cleanup and to be a presence of God in the disaster.
Volunteers in Mission are teams that help to rebuild homes and lives. Our local team has traveled to areas within New York, North Carolina and Louisiana.
Members work at the HUB in Liverpool, New York and take annual trips to Mission Central in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania to prepare materials for distribution to areas of need within the United States and around the world. Our church has assembled feminine hygiene kits and donated materials for cleaning kits, school kits, and health kits. They have also donated computers and baby sweaters.
We sponsor and coordinate the Backpack program which provides food for local school children on weekends and during the summer.
The Safe Haven Respite program with the support of Lifespan’s Finger Lakes Caregiver Institute and the Alzheimer’s Association, opened its doors at NOMC in October 2019. This program gives caregivers an opportunity to take a break or take care of business while their loved ones, in the earliest stages of memory loss, are provided with caring companionship and supervised activities provided by our trained volunteers every 1st and 3rd Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at NOMC. This social program is free and open to all in Wayne, eastern Monroe and northern Ontario counties.
