From McDonald\u2019s Golden Arches, Amazon\u2019s Smile, Nike\u2019s swish, or Apple\u2019s Bitten Apple, each make you think of the products they are representing. Food, consumer products, shoes, and electronics quickly come to mind as each image appears.<br>Which begs the questions, \u201cWhat iconic trademarks would we carry as Christians to make others think about Christ?\u201d Think of the question this way\u2026 The light turned yellow, just in front of him. He did the right thing and stopped at the crosswalk, even though he could have beaten the red light by accelerating through the intersection. The tailgating woman behind him was furious and honked her horn, screaming endlessly in frustration, as she missed her chance to get through the intersection. As she was still in mid-rant, she heard a tap on her window and looked up into the face of a very serious police officer.<br>The officer ordered her to exit her car with her hands up. He took her to the police station where she was searched, fingerprinted, photographed and placed in a holding cell.<br>After a couple of hours, a policeman approached the cell and opened the door.<br>She was escorted back to the booking desk where the arresting officer was waiting with her personal effects. He said, \u201cI\u2019m very sorry for this mistake. You see, I pulled up behind your car while you were blowing your horn, giving the guy in front of you the finger and cursing at him.\u201d<br>\u201cI noticed the \u2018What Would Jesus Do?\u2019 bumper sticker, the \u2018Choose Life\u2019 license plate holder, the \u2018NOTW\u2019 (not of this world) bumper sticker, and the chrome-plated Christian fish emblem on the trunk, so naturally I assumed you had stolen the car.\u201d<br>So again, I ask, \u201cWhat iconic trademarks would we carry as Christians to make others think about Christ?\u201d Don\u2019t think the jewelry you wear is enough to point to Christ. If you are not acting Christlike the jewelry does nothing. Immediately my mind goes to the license plate I received one Mother\u2019s Day.
